On October 9th, 2017, the Olney Chamber of Commerce hosted the Taste of Olney event. At this chamber’s biggest annual event, local businesses such as restaurants, organizations, nonprofits, as well as civic groups come together to connect with local residents.
This year, Dr. Malini Narayanan attended Taste of Olney after she completed her patient rounds for the day. She was able to spend some quality time with her daughter as she mingled with residents and businesses. She met and connected with other physicians in the area to discover how their individual care for patients can be streamlined in a way they may best serve their community!
The event, held at Good Counsel High School, provided ample space for businesses to provide local services. Harris Teeter, for example, administered on site flu shots, while Lions Club members collected used eyeglasses. Dr. Narayanan plans to continue attending future commerce and other local events.
